"Any questions? Very well. We leave in an hour and a half. Those of you who are going, pack up and be ready in an hour."
Sylvana nodded shortly, and waited silently for her brother and the others to file out. She approached Sci. "Sir?"
"Yes?"
"Would you terribly disapprove of my hiding in a veiwportless area on the Gaia for the duration of our trip over?"
He raised an eyebrow at the unusual request.
"I mean, well, I've got this theory. If I don't see us trying to land, and don't know we've done so until after the fact, I won't lose my sensibilities and panic."
"It's worth a try, I'd rather not have you sedated when we land, should you need to be on alert straight away."
"Thank you, Sir." She nodded and gave him half a smile, not quite the sort she used to wear, but a smile nonetheless. It was an improvement. "I'll go get ready now." She saluted him then turned and left.
Making quick work of the walk to her room, she was met at the door by Fate. However did I get such an eccentric droid? She shook her head, "Hello Fate."
He whistled excitedly, was there any other way he whistled?, ending in a questioning tone. Guessing at his meaning, she spoke as she put together her small pack, "Yes I'm leaving again, no you're not coming with."
The whistle was low and sounded sad. "I promise I'll come back," she said encouragingly.
While Fate told her just what he thought about being left behind, again, Sylvana absently listened to the twittering, whistling, and occasional blatt, while gathering together her things. She had a medical bag she'd put together, it was simple, but had a few essential things. She gathered also the discs that Phaanan had given to her. It would be good if she studied them on her way over - should she need to use galactic equipment. Finally she stuffed in a few pairs of easy to move in clothing - she had a feeling it would be necessary to have the ability to move without restriction.
After she'd done so, Sylvana sat on her bed and checked the ammunition in her 9mm. She hadn't shot it yet, since she'd joined, but she had to be sure it was in condition to use should she need it. Paranoid? perhaps, but paranoia kept people alive, oftentimes. She hoped she would get a galactic weapon, should the need to fight arise. No reason, but that she'd always wanted one.
With a sigh, she patted Fate on the head, and tuned out his disgruntled whistling as she left her room. "I told you, I'll come back!"
After grabbing a quick meal from beneath Rich's nose, as he was out of the kitchen at the time, Sylvana jogged back to the Gaia. As she did so, she was finishing up the food she'd pilfered, and as she popped the last piece of cabbage-wrapped lunchmeat into her mouth, she ran right into someone. Losing her balance, she fell to the floor, dropping her two bags.
A hand dropped into her field of vision, and she accepted its help to pull her up, then grabbed her bags up in one hand as she put the other behind her head nervously, "I beg your pardon, I wasn't looking where I was going." Her eyes rose and a half smile cracked on her face. "We have to stop meeting like this, Milord Thayer." She bowed quickly and darted up into the Gaia to an area in which she could hide from eyes, and sight of the outside.
