Operation Darkness: Pain

Arrek screamed as more agony poured through the stump
that remained of his arm.  His right arm had been
severed just below the elbow and now infection was
beggining to set in.  The pain was unbearable.  He
couldn't believe his arm was gone forever.

The only comfort he drew was knowing that his sister
was still alive.  He knew she would have escaped as he
ordered her too.  Now all Arrek wanted was to escape
his captivation aboard the alien species' ship.

They had tried on many occasions to break him.  To
make him give up his will to live and surrender to the
death they offered.  He devoutly wished that he could
feel them.  They were the only people he had
encountered that he was not able to feel the emotions
of.

Feeling a draft upon his naked back, he twisted to see
the alien come into his cell again.  It drew the
snakelike creature from around its wrist and snapped
it so it was stiff and hard.  Bringing it around he
placed it against the hollow of Arrek's throat.  Arrek
had no fear though.  He just wished that his
lightsaber was in hand and he was free of the
jelly-like substance binding him to the floor.

"Have you had enough now Jeedai?"  The alien said to
him.

"I'm not Jedi, when will you realise that?" Arrek
replied.

"Then what would you be?"  Came the alien's terse
reply.

"I am Arrek Lorrdain, brother to Sylvana Lorrdain, who
when she realises I'm alive and comes for me, will
take you and all your friends out."  He half screamed.

"Be that as it may, infidel, you will not be going
anywhere for a long time."

"I'm no indifel, I am a follower of the one true God,
the God of peace and the God of love, and the God who
has His hand upon me and will keep me safe from whatever
you will do to me!"  Was the shout he gave to the
creature standing over him.  The pain and fatigue was
coming on stronger now, and Arrek knew that something
had to be done soon or he was lost.

He closed his eyes and began to pray.  "Dear Lord God,
please deliver me from the hands of evil.  Please
protect my sister and let her know I'm safe."

Then he blacked out again.
