Project Boussh: Yub Yub, Majors! by Emily Janson Two X-wings skimmed low over the forest, searching for an area suitable for landing. They came across a clearing marked with these orange cones. The space ended up being barely the right amount of space for the two snubfighters, and the X-wings had to land so that one fighter was facing the other with a pair of S-foils settled between the cockpit and S-foils of the other ship. Emily was leaning against a tree and saw the two orange clad pilots jump to the ground. She waved to get their attention and they came jogging over. /This should be a _very_ interesting project./ "Terrans don't have real hangars?" Hobbie asked. The girl dressed in black velvet shook her head. "My house doesn't even have a garage. And the only X-wings in my house are the four in my room and one in my brother's." Emily extended her hand. "I'm Emily Janson..." Wes held out his hand. "How exactly does that work out?" "Um...I said...er...I said I'm Emily, Janson," she stuttered. "So you must be Hobbie. No need for introductions from you two, I know enough. Including Hobbie's th... Never mind." "Is it going to be safe for the X-wings to be here in the middle of a forest," Hobbie asked doubtfully. Emily shrugged. "There's only raccoons and chipmunks to worry about. With the crows it might be a mess when you return to them, though. The pesky rodents might chew on wires. I recommend you leave your astromechs guarding the ships. No one has R2 units on Terra, anyway. So, before we get started, any questions?" Wes folded his arms across his chest. "I have one. How old are you?" "I'll be sixteen in five months. Is that a problem?" When the two pilots just exchanged glances, Emily thought back to the mission at hand and remembered something she had thought to ask the Rogues. "Well, I have a question for you. Fellow AFW posters and myself have found ourself in a little, um, argument. Is the relationship between you two just platonic or...?" "What!?" Wes and Hobbie said in unison. /Oh well. I can figure it out as we go along./ Emily held out her hands. "I'm just kidding. Yub yub, Majors." Wes collapsed to his knees. "How is it that _everyone_ knows about that?" Emily looked at her watch. "We better start heading back to my house. It's a ten minute walk and it's almost lunch time." "Then you can start telling us about Quiara," Hobbie commented. Emily nodded and the team began to head off to Emily's house.
