Project Boush: We Can Take 'Em by Vickie Boyd Kelly and I looked at each other. Brad was hurt and crazy. There was no way we would do what he asked. The stormtroopers we had Force pushed were trying to scramble to their feet. Kelly gave me an evil grin that I knew all too well. "I think we can take 'em." I looked down the hall then back at my twin. "You must be joking. There's at least a hundred of them and only two of us." "Yeah, but they don't have lightsabers and aren't suicidal either." She had a point, or rather I had a point. I brought my lightsaber down horizontally in front of me, the tip pointing towards her. "Let's do it," I growled. She mirrored my action. "On three?" "On three." "One." "Two." "Three!" We both screamed and ran forward, waving our lightsabers wildly. The troopers getting to their feet began to flail backwards, trying to get away from the crazy Jedi. Several troopers with orange flaps on their shoulders tried to push everyone forward to attack. We were on top of them before they could pull their blasters. I brought my blade down on the first trooper. It sliced through his arm, severing it from his shoulder. I winced, expecting a spurt of blood, but it didn't come. The blade had cauterized the wound. Kelly screamed a battle cry and began to wade through the Imperials. Her milky white blade sliced a hand here, an arm there. The look on her face was of pure glee. I tried to keep up, trying to maim and not kill. We were about a quarter of the way through when we heard a high pitched cry. "EE CHUDA!!!" Kelly and I looked at each other and grinned. The Ewoks had arrived! Behind the troopers, a wave of fur began to overtake the white armoured troops. "Yubnub," we cried to them. With the arrival of the Ewoks, the troopers became disorganized quickly. We were able to wade through them. Many laid down their weapons and surrendered. I saw Korak directing his troops to hold the men who had surrendered at blaster point. Kelly and I walked over to him. "We thank you for your help, Korak," I said with a bow. The Ewok leader looked up at me sadly. <"We did so to honor Warrior Josh."> My brow furrowed. "What do you mean 'honor Josh'?" Korak bowed his head. <"Warrior Josh died to protect me."> Kelly reached down and picked the Ewok up. "And you just left him there?!" Korak kicked her in the stomach and she doubled over, dropping him to the floor. <"Nothing we could do. He died a warrior."> I put a hand on Kelly's arm before she could retaliate. "I don't think he's dead yet," I told her. "I can sense him, but it's very faint." Looking into your own eyes is rather scary. I knew what she was thinking and she knew I was right. "Take him and go find Josh." She nodded towards the Ewok. "I'll stay here." I nodded and looked down at Korak. "Show me where you left him." The Ewok leader nodded and headed back the way he had come. Quickly and quietly, I followed.
