Project Boussh: Trouble in Turbolift Three by Vickie Boyd Vickie followed the mouse droid down the hall. It took her twisting and turning down halways. *Will this ship never end,* she thought. The droid rolled ahead of her and around a corner. It squealed and she stopped. Peeking around the corner, she saw the little droid talking to a taller droid. She was unable to make out what was being said. After a moment, the mouse droid rolled back to her. THE LADY AND MAN HAVE BEEN TRAPPED IN A TURBOLIFT. SHE WAS ESCAPING. *So am I,* she thought. "Well, we need to help them." COME THIS WAY. The droid rolled back down the hall towards a turbolift. She followed cautiously. The other droid had disappeared. She stopped before the turbolift doors and they swished open. "Where did the other droid go," she asked her petit companion. HE WENT ON AHEAD TO CLEAR THE WAY OUT. She stepped in. The walls were grey, like everything else on the ship. She felt like she was on a Naval ship. *You are, stupid,* she admonished herself. *Amazing how much like a US Naval ship it looks.* The droid beeped and the doors closed. Quickly, they began to decend. She grabbed the railing to avoid having a seat on the floor. It wasn't long before they stopped. She reached out with the Force before the doors opened. "Don't open them," she warned the droid as it began to ask the turbolift to open the doors. She felt Brad's and Dorset's minds nearby. Just beyond them were about a dozen other minds. "Stormtroopers," she whispered to herself. "We arrived just in time." She hit the button to open the doors. Down the hall, a squad of troopers came towards the turbolifts. They heard one of the doors open and put their weapons to bear. A woman emerged from the lift dressed in medical garb. She turned and faced them, opening her arms wide. They looked at her curiously. She smiled at them. The troopers in the back flew backwards as she Force pushed them. They landed hard against the transperisteel wall and were knocked unconscious. The rest began to fire. The blasts bounced off her Force shield. The troopers suddenly stopped firing. Several rubbed their eyes, looking at her. "I said I order you to stand down," she said to them. "I will take care of this from here." They looked at Commander McEwok and nodded. The front trooper stood and waved his fellows to follow. "The Commander has this now. We'll guard the exit." They all turned and left. Vickie sighed and leaned against the wall. The little mouse droid appeared at her feet and beeped at her."Yes, we really should get them out of there before those idiots figure out what happened." She turned around and concentrated her telekinesis on the door. It groaned and finally pushed apart. Two carbines appeared before her. She took a step back and put up her hands defensively. "Woah, wait a minute. Don't fire." Dorset lowered her blaster and looked shocked. "What are you doing here? I just left you in the hangar!"
