Project Boussh: The Wrong Kind of Tip by Vickie Boyd Pash walked outside the 'bago with the Ewok in tow. He looked up at the clear sky before pulling out his comlink. Something wasn't right. "Ace Lead to Home Base." "Deuce here," answered Vickie. "What's the plan?" "Emily, Wes and Hobbie want to hook up with us. They are in New Hampshire and Alison said she has a place up there where we all can meet." There was a pause before she spoke again. "Well, if you guys call when you get there, I can send Corran up." "What about you? You're the brains of this group." "You must be kidding. The only way I will be able to get there is if I can get a commercial flight out from here. I am NOT going to ride in the X-Wing like Kristy did. We're going to need Whistler anyway." "So, get a commercial flight." "Yeah right. It's the holidays. Flights get booked quickly. Plus, I think there is a huge snowstorm up there right now." "You can't be afraid to fly. What is the problem?" Another pause. "I don't know. It's just a feeling." A flash of light caught his eye and he looked up to see a laserblast hit the wing of his ship. "Sithspit. GET DOWN," he yelled to Kolot. The Ewok was already moving into action. With a war cry, he lept into the A-Wing and turned on its shields. He turned the ship's turrets to strafe the air with fire. Pash ducked and ran to the 'bago. Myn threw open the door as he reached it. The marksman lifted a launcher to his shoulder and picked out a target. Once the fighter was within his sights, he fired. The resulting explosion was spectacular. Shards from the TIE and a lucky shot from Kolot disabled the other ship. It landed in the lot nearby. Myn and Pash ran towards it, blasters in hand. ********************************************** Back in North Carolina, Vickie paced. The communicator had stopped transmitting suddenly and she had a bad feeling about it. "Damnit, what is going on?" Corran cut his eyes to her. "I thought I heard a laser blast right before the comm went silent." She stopped and her shoulders dropped. "Oh no, I've gone and gotten them all killed." Tears filled her eyes. "Now would be the time for you to meditate." "What?" She couldn't believe his impertinance. Asking her to meditate when she knew six lives were being snuffed out because of her. "Believe in the Force, Vickie. It will lead you to the right answer." She looked at him skeptically for a moment before sitting on the couch and closing her eyes. Relaxing, she focused her thoughts on Pash and the others. She saw two TIEs heading for the 'bago and A-Wing. One fired at the A and missed. The other hit the wing of the ship. The scene played itself out until she saw Myn and Pash running up towards one of the TIEs. ********************************************** "Come on out," Pash yelled. "You can't go anywhere." Myn trained his blaster on the pilot's chest as he dropped down from the ship. He still had his helmet on and moved forward with his hands above him. "Remove the helmet." The pilot stopped and pulled the bulky helmet from his head. He dropped it to his feet and put his hands behind his head. Pash's eyes widened. The man standing before him was very familiar. "Soontir Fel."
