Project Boussh: Opposing Faces by Alison Sky After coming to the end of the passageway, the group ran one by one across the courtyard to the shadows of the castle's wall. Once Face, being the last member to come out of the passageway, had joined them, Mike surveyed the scene. "We should split up into two groups," Mike said. "One going left, one right." Face looked up at the castle and nodded. "Better than trying to use the rope scalers again." Sharon went to smack Face on the head while Mike sighed. "Eleven and One, you go left. The rest of us will go right." "I'm not going with him," Alison stated. "And Eleven's my wingman," Emily added. "Where she goes, I go." /Not this argument again/ Mike thought to himself. "I want one swordsman per group, and one leader. And I need Sharon to be with me." "Alison.... uh... Eleven and I are a team." "And I am the leader of this mis-matched group, and you're gonna listen to what I tell you to do." He looked at Emily's hand on her swordhilt. "And don't even think of poking me with that thing." Before Emily could continue her protest, Mike walked past her and to Alison's side. "And you need to learn to get over this thing you have against One." Alison tilted her head, thining out her lips. "I have nothing against One," she growled. "I just don't trust the blooming bastard anymore." "Well, you're going to learn to trust him, cause right now your life, as well as the rest of the group, will depend on it. You two are going to be a pair for the rest of this mission, and I don't give a womprat's butt if you enjoy it or not." "Don't even..." "Shut up, Eleven. Now you listen to me. If you don't solve this problem, I'm going to stun your ass and leave it in the passageway until we get back. Now, do you or don't you want to be a part of this mission?" "Yes, Sir." Alison all but snarled. "Now suck it up and get going. Atner ain't getting any less powerful from us standing here." "Hey, do I get any say in this?" Face asked. Mike sighed. "And you object in what way?" "Well, she's got a sword." "And you got a blaster. Problem solved. Now go!" Face and Alison stared at each other for a second, then Alison stalked off. Face shrugged and followed after her. "I wouldn't be surprised if they end up killing each other," Sharon muttered. "They won't," Emily spoke. "Alison and Face really are good friends. She's just really ticked about what's happened to him." "We'll worry about the psychoanalisis later. Right now I just want to blow this place to high hell." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Face raced to catch up with Alison. "Will you just hold up!" he hissed. Alison stopped walking, and Face almost instantly slammed into her back. "Just *what* is your problem?!" "Nothing is my problem," Alison said. "Let's just get dthis over with." Face shook his head. "You know that I'm not controlled anymore. I got the bacta patch to prove it." He pulled back his cap to reveal a large bacta patch where the blinking light had been. "I'm on a three step plan. Each patch gets smaller until I can go without them." "And at the end you are given a certificate showing that you are no longer a mindless zombie of a dictator. I'm sure Dia will hang it on the wall forever." Face scowled. "That was rude." Closing her eyes, Alison sighed. "Can we just find a way in, ok?" "Lead the way," Face said. "So you can't say I am leading you into a trap." Alison turned and pointed a finger at the Wraith leader, but held her comment back. Biting her lower lip, she turned and continued on.
