Project Boussh: Oh Where, Oh Where Has The Jedi-Wannabe Gone? by Vickie Boyd *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* Rich smacked his alarm clock, but the beeping refused to stop. He got up and went into the living room. The beeping got louder. He found the sound emitting from a comlink on Corran's belt. "Hey Jedi, wake up," he said as he gently shook the sleeping man. Corran snored in response. Rich shook him harder. Corran snored again. Rich sneered and walked back into the bedroom. He pulled a pillow off and chunked it at his annoyance. "Wake up, Corran." The pillow hit him smack on the face. He awoke with a start. "What? What is it?" "Your damn comlink woke me up." "Huh?" Corran sat up and pulled the comlink from his belt. He reflexively switched the buzzer off and the beeping ceased. The message was from Whistler. Corran reached down for his datapad and downloaded the message. "Damn girl," he muttered under his breath after reading the message. "What is it," asked Rich. "Your wife has taken my X-Wing and my droid and gone looking for Brad." Rich suddenly felt very awake. "She what?" "Sheesh, tell a girl she has Force powers and she then tries to do everything herself." Corran shook his head and stood up to stretch. Rich snorted. "You don't know her that well. She would have done that even if she wasn't Force sensitive." "Well, if she isn't careful, she's going to jepordize the entire mission." Corran pulled on his boots. "Where are you going?" "I'm going to go looking for her," he said as he strapped his blaster holster to his waist. "How?" "In Pash's A-Wing, of course." He walked to the back room. Pash stuck his head out of the guest bedroom. "You're doing what with my A-Wing," he asked sleepily. "I'm just going to borrow it," Corran said. "Why?" Rich turned to the other pilot. "Vickie took his X-Wing to go find Brad." Pash blinked. "No she didn't." "Yes, she did." "Well damn." He ran a hand through his red hair. "Hang on. You can't get into it without my code." Pash turned back and threw on some clothes. Rich and Corran went out into the cold and pulled the camo netting off the A-Wing. Pash wasn't far behind. He came out while pulling on his left boot. "What possesed her to do such a thing," he asked the others. "The Force works in mysterious ways," Corran said absently. "You sound like Yoda," Rich said. "There are worse creatures to sound like." Pash shook his head and activated his comlink. A signal was sent to the ship and the hatch popped open. "You're all set. My helmet is in the seat." Corran nodded and climbed up the ladder. "Don't worry. I'll find her." He dropped down into the seat and started warming up the engines. Pash and Rich moved back towards the house. "Do you think she's ok," Pash asked. Rich shrugged. "I hope so."
