Project Boussh: Epilogue: It's Just a Jump to the Left... by Vickie Boyd Vickie wandered through the halls of the castle. She had just returned from checking on Crispy. His wounds were healing nicely. She was so relieved that he was okay, but still regretted telling him what had happened to Korak. Ooryl had been sitting beside the tank, worried about his friend. She smiled at the fact that in a world where non-humans were non-existent, one human had made friends with one. Suddenly, she realized she had just gotten lost. "Sith," she mumbled as she turned through a doorway that led her outside. Then her breath caught. She stood out on one of the west ramparts. The sun was setting and the sky was a mixture of orange, red, purple and blue. "Red sky at night, sailor's delight," she mused with a smile. She moved over to lean on the wall to watch. "Hi," came a familiar voice behind her. She turned to see Pash standing in the doorway. "Hi. I haven't seen you in a while." "Yeah, it has been a while." He moved over, running a hand across the stubble on his chin. Ever since she had been kidnapped, he hadn't shaved. "So, how are you?" She shrugged. "Ok, I guess. Everything seems so surreal." She looked back out at the sunset. He leaned on his arms beside her. "Beautiful, isn't it." She nodded. They stood in silence for a few minutes until Pash finally broke it. "So, have you spoken to..." What would he say? Your clone? "Her name is Kelly. Sci gave it to her and she's agreed." She watched as a piece of the Admonitor burned through the sky, landing in the Pacific. "So yeah, we've talked." He swallowed hard. "So I guess she told you..." She turned to look at him. "No, she didn't tell me. I saw it in her mind. Actually, I'm really glad it was her and not me. I don't know if I could have handled it." She turned back to hide the red rising in her face. "I'm going to ask Wedge if she can go back with you guys. She can't stay here. She'd be bored." "She is you, you know. She has your morals and..." "But, she doesn't have a husband. Pash... take care of her, ok? Don't let her get hurt. She has my morals and my memories. I... she loves you." Pash looked at her, his mouth open. "But..." She smiled and pushed his jaw up. "But nothing. Come on, you know your way around. I want to join the party. I deserve it." He chuckled and shook his head. "Ok." He took her hand and led her from the battlements. Kelly stood over Mike's shoulder, reading his music list. "Yes! That right there. Let me know when you play it." Mike looked up at her in confusion. "Are you sure?" "I love that song! We'll drag people on the floor, ok?" "Well, if that's the case..." Mike grinned and keyed in the song order. "Sixth song." She jumped and clapped her hand, kissing Mike before turning towards the dance floor. Mike blushed, cutting his eyes towards Shalla. She stood with her hands on her hips, foot tapping. He turned his attention back to the music, burying himself in his work. Kelly bounced up to Vickie and whispered in her ear. "No way," Vickie said with a grin. "Yep. Sixth. We're dragging him out." She pointed at Pash. Pash blinked his eyes at the double vision. "Dragging me where?" "You'll find out soon enough, flyboy." Kelly winked and pulled Vickie to the side. "Have you talked to Wedge yet?" "No. I've been staying with Crispy." "Yeah, I heard. They say he should be ok soon." "Yeah, I know. I still feel responsible for everything." "Not as much as I do. Come on, let's make a loop around and then by the time we get back, it'll be time for the song." "Good idea." "Alright everybody. This is a popular song, requested by a friend. You Terrans should know it well." Mike grinned and began the song. At the first chord from the guitar, Vickie and Kelly grinned. They grabbed Pash's arms, pulling him into the middle of the floor. "Let's do the Time Warp again!!!! Let's do the Time Warp again!!!"
