Project Boussh: Inside Information by Brad Corletti Four TIE interceptors in this Melbourne hangar. Four TIE fighters shot down by himself and Dorset. Four TIE Defenders menacing Pash & Kelly Cracken. A strange way to operate. Standard Imperial doctrine was to stick fighters in twelve-member squadrons consisting entirely of a single type of craft, like the Interceptor squadron he'd helped to destroy. That was how the New Republic did it too. So either those craft made up a mixed-fighter squadron... or there were at least two more squadrons worth of fighters here. Including a squadron of TIE Defenders. The Rogues might not have such an easy time of it after all. Brad flicked through more records. This flight's mission seemed to be: wait for Intelligence to figure out where Rebel forces were. Then drop the heavy end of the hammer on them. In the meanwhile, pump Star Wars fans for information on their likely foes. Presumably they believed him to be Intelligence's representative. That suited Brad fine. The only catch was, tomorrow morning he had to brief them to blow some Rebels up. He flicked through more records. Personnel records. TIE pilots assigned to Imperator-class Star Destroyer _Admonitor_. Interesting name. Means 'one who gently warns'. Cute. Nothing strategic in here. Not that surprising. But still disappointing. Wait. A flight log. The Lieutenant had made a flight a week ago. To some place called Mendellia. Brad idly wondered if it were an Outer Rim world, before he remembered that the Lieutenant flew an interceptor. So it was a place on Earth? Oh no. He saw another flight log. A few days ago. Destination: Luna. Brad flicked off the database and looked around. Nobody left but a few lost-looking fanboys. The TIE pilots had left long ago.
