Project Boussh: Breakout by Alison Sky Alison slept in the bago's driver's chair, while Face, Dia, Myn and Kirney slept in their self-proclaimed floor spots. Kolot waited by the door, making sure everyone was fast asleep. He looked at Kirney, who was sleeping in an "I'm with Stupid" shirt, in which the arrow was pointing at Myn. He wanted to wake her and tell her where he was going, but knew that if he did, she would try to stop them. Quietly, he opened the bago door and stepped out. In his backpack was a bunch of charges, some wire clippers, and other items that no avaerage Ewok would be carrying on his back. Using the shadows of the alley, Kolot made his way to the subway and hopped the A train to the Bronx. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dia was the first to wake up the next morning. She took a quick shower in what Alison had called the bathroom, then sat in front of their TV and turned it on. She flipped to the news, to see if there was any news on Quiara's disappearance. There was no news there, but instead saw a very interesting report. The scene, the Bronx Zoo. The events, a jail break. The perpretrator, a kid in a Star Wars Ewok costume. "GUYS! We got trouble!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Face jumped into the passenger seat as Alison sped down the parkway back towards the zoo. "Can't we use the hyperdrive on this bucket of bolts?" "This isn't the Millenium Falcon, Face," Alison replied. "And we have speed limits. How would we explain to the cops that we're in a rush to get to the zoo?" "Good point." Face looked back at Dia, who was watching the updates of the zoo report. "At least they've stopped talking about the election crisis for a minute to show us this," Dia stated. "I was getting tired of hearing about that Bush-Gore deal. Don't they realize that Wedge is the winner?" Alison smiled. "I never said that politicians were smart." "We knew that one already," Face replied. "Now, are you sure you sent Myn and Kirney on the right subway?" Alison nodded as she tried to pass an old lady doing 25 in a 60 zone. "All the subways have maps. They'll get there." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kirney and Myn held onto a subway rail for dear life. They had first ended up in Brooklyn, then had to make their way back to grand central to find the subway to the Bronx. Myn had his blaster, set to stun, hidden under his new Yankees jacket. Kirney was wearing her own Yankees jacket, as well as carrying one for Kolot to smuggle him out. A drunkard stared at Kirney on the subway, and she just ignored him. "Are you sure this thing is really safe?" She asked Myn. "Alison says as long as you don't look at anyone and ride during the day, you'll be ok." Kirney nodded and looked out the window at the brick wall flying by. Willing the subway to go faster. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The bago screeched to a halt outside the North entrace to the zoo. Alison, Face and Dia jumped out, just as Myn and Kirney came running up the subway ramps. They flashed Alison a angry look, then the group ran into the zoo. Animals were running rampant. Two elephants charged past them, followed by a bunch of rats for the inner dark sections. Monkeys were up in trees, tossing peanuts down at the animal workers trying to get them down. Security was busy chasing after a bunch of penguins while a tiger silently stalked the emus. "The bears," Alison stated, and they followed the signs until they reached the bear section. There, they found police officers working on keeping the bears from leaving the section. The five climbed above the rocks and looked over the chaos. There, in the center of the mess was Kolot, releasing a bunch of grizzley bears from their enclosement. "Kolot!" Kirney yelled, and started making her way down the rocks, followed by Alison, Myn, Face and Dia. Kolot turned and saw them coming, and watched as they joined him. "Kolot, what are you doing?" Face asked. "No creature should be locked up," Kolot said. "What they do?" Alison knelt down beside the angry Ewok. "Kolot, these animals are rasied in the zoo from the time they were born. This is their home. From them, children learn all about what they are, and how to respect them." "But why lock up? Why not let them live side by side?" "Because many of these animals are from different parts of the world. A zoo is a place where all the creatures can live together and not have to worry about being eaten, or hunted, or hurt. If you let them run loose, they won't know how to adapt, and they could die." "Die?" Kolot turned and looked at the bears in the enclosure. They actually looked happy there. He then saw all the animals running around, confused and getting hurt by other animals. "I sorry." Myn patted Kolot whlie Kirney put the Yankees jacket around him. "It's ok, Kolot. This place is strange to us all. Now, we need to get you out of here." Face had taken the job of being point and waved for them to follow him. They ran out through the bird pavilion and made their way back to the bago. They ran inside, and Face, jumping into the driver's seat, pealed out of the parking lot. "Back to the City?" he asked. "Head back to Yonkers," Alison replied. "We can restock at my apartment, and try to see if anyone else has anymore news." She sat next to Myn and sighed. "At least we aren't in New Hampshere," she said aloud. "Why?" Myn asked. "What's there?" "There's a place called Clarks Trading post," Alison replied. "They've got three dancing bears, and I'm sure Kolot would have enjoyed seeing that show. "We're not going to New Hampshere," Kirney called from the back. "Anyway, Wes and Hobbie are there with Emily." "Oh great," Alison thought. "Wes and dancing bears. That's a scary thought."
