Project Boussh: Bow To Your Partner by Alison Sky Alison and Hobbie pulled the sea shuttle up to shore. Emily and Ooryl stood a distance away, watching them. "HEY!" Emily shouted. Hobbie looked at Alison and smiled as Emily and Ooryl ran across the open land. "Guess our private time has come to an end?" he stated. "You're gonna make me cry, Hobs," Alison said, trying to muster a fake tear. "I don't know how I can live without you swearing at the controls." "Hobbie! Have you heard?" Emily shouted before Hobbie could answer, running into the Rogue's arms. "OOF!" Hobbie grunted, falling back on the ground from Emily's attack. "Why can't I have more women do this to me." "You should be grateful she didn't skewer you," Alison stated, noticing that Emily wore her sword at her waist. "Opps," Emily stated, and she jumped up, hauling Hobbie to his feet. "Well, did you hear?" "Hear what?" Emily grinned from ear to ear. "Wes is alive!" The loud whoop came from Alison first while Hobbie stared at Emily open-mouthed. "How?" was all he could mutter as Alison grabbed Ooryl and proceeded to twirl him around in the sand. "Don't know," she replied, and Hobbie had the strangest feeling that she was holding back more than she said. Meanwhile, Ooryl was attempting to get out of Alison's grip. "And Ooryl thought Wedge's Ewok dance was bad." Alison released the Gand and smiled. "Sorry." Ooryl brushed away the dirt from his body. "Ooryl understands. I have seen many humans show their joy in a similar fashion. Yet now is not the time to celebrate. We shall save that for later." Ooryl handed Hobbie and Alison a disc each. "These are our orders." The Rogue and Terran exchanged glances, then pulled out their respective datapads and downloaded the discs. After reading their assignments, Hobbie stuffed his datapad back into a pocket. "You're my escort?" Ooryl nodded. "We must be going. Our groups are waiting. It was a pleasure working with you." Hobbie turned to Emily and Alison and smiled. "You two take care. Remember, wingmen always stick together, so don't lose each other." Emily giggled. "I don't think it would be easy to lose her if I could," she said, jerking her thumb at Alison. "After all, she thinks she's my boss." "Thinks?" Alison asked, quirking an eyebrow. "Something you do occassionally," Emily replied. "I know cause I can smell the smoke." "Ok, no more backrub Wes for you!" Alison stated. "Backrub Wes'?" Hobbie asked. Alison coughed. "Backrubs from Wes..." Ooryl and Hobbie exchanged glances. "Children..." Ooryl stated. "Stay safe, and may the Force be with you." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alison watched the two Rogues take off. "Snipe had better treat Ooryl better than he did me," Emily muttered. "Shut up," Alison said playfully, pushing Emily slightly. "What? You're the one who almost blew our clone cover!" "You got to hang with Wes and Hobbie! Fly an X-wing! If only I had the luck." "Trust me," Emily stated, "it's not all that cracked up. Wes's R2 is really a strange little droid." A shadow fell over them, and Alison watched a shuttle land near them. Curiously, they watched as the ramp lowered. A young woman walked down, looking around. She saw Alison and Emily, and waved at them. "Who's that?" Emily asked. "I think that's Sharon," Alison said, waving back. Sharon smiled, then waved up the ramp. A shadow in a cloak with the hood up came down next, and put his hand up to block the sunlight from his eyes. As the person's hood dropped, Alison pushed Emily behind her while grabbing her sword. "Stay back," she yelled, holding the sword out in a defensive position. Face took a deep breath and stared at Alison. Before he could say anything, Mike ran down the ramp, his hand on his saber. "Stop!" Mike shouted. "Not you too, Mike," Alison stated. She heard Emily grab her sword behind her. "It's not what you think," Mike replied. He nodded up the ramp, and it slowly closed as the shuttle took away. "I'll explain it all later, but right now we need to get somewhere and do some planning. We've got a complex to take over, and right now I want to fight something that I can really hurt." Face snorted, and Mike threw him an evil glare. Emily sheathed her sword, but Alison was still doubtful. "I've got a sea shuttle. I drive, you talk." With that, she walked away, leaving the other four to follow her if they chose to. At this moment, she really didn't care. She wasn't comfortable now... anger was flowing through her, wanting to be worked out through a physical action. Her hand gripped the hilt of her sword so tight that her knuckles were white. Walking back towards the shuttle, she walked past an empty cabana. Quicker than lightning, she drew her sword and slashed her sword through the housing. it stood for a second, then gravity forced it to collapse. A neat cut went straight through the middle. Not even looking back, Alison sheathed her sword and jumped into the shuttle.
