Project Boussh: Bad Impressions by Alison Sky Alison watched as Elassar closed the door in her face. She shook her head, trying to hold back her laughter. She /knew/ the two of them were up to something, and most likely it would sooner or later involve the rest of the group. "I should tell Sci and warn him," Alison pondered, walking away, then let her smile turn to an evil grin. "Second thought, they all deserve this for putting me in the bacta tank. As long as I'm not involved, let them play their games." She made her way back to the room that Emily had said the two of them were going to share. Emily wasn't there, but she smiled, seeing her sword and the borrowed knife laying on the bed she was to sleep on. Alison sat on the bed, picking up the larger weapon and ran a finger along the flat side. It still gleamed at her as it had when she first found the sword in Retsim's lab. She could see her reflection in the flat of the blade, and smiled. Then she saw her hair and scoffed, placeing the sword back on the bed. She then saw the knife and picked it up. Her mind went back to the stranger who had come to save her and Face. She shook her head. /No, I'm not going to fall into that trap/ she thought, and stuck the knife into a sheath in her boots. Grabbing her sword, she stood and went to find a path to go outside. She needed to think, and working with her sword techniques usually helped her concentrate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kirney made sure the Kolot was enjoying his time with all the Josh's ewoks, then turned to look at the palace walls. The palace was a beautiful creation, something that she would love to bring designs back to Corellia and see one built. Outside, she suddenly heard the sounds of metal hitting metal. Her hand on her blaster, she walked to a window. Out in the courtyard, she could see Alison swinging her sword at a post, hitting the metal object with the flat of her sword. She had made marks on the post, marking head and knee lengths. A few feet beyond the post, a hay dummy stood. /She's probably imaging the post as the dummy/ Kirney mused, putting her blaster away. Sighing, she remembered Face's words, and desided that she would go and try to talk to Alison, see if she could make a better first impression of her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Her arm growing tired from hitting the metal post with the sword, Alison switched hands and started to fight left handed. Her moves were not as graceful on that side, but they still got the job done. "Hey." Alison turned quickly, bringing her right hand onto the sword hilt with her left. The point stopped three inchs from Kirney, and the redhead jumped away. "Oh, sorry," Alison said, and she quickly pulled the weapon back. "You work pretty well with that thing," Kirney commented as Alison stuck the sword into the ground. "I try," Alison replied. She looked up to the rampants. "I heard that you and Kolot had landed. Any news on Myn and Dia?" "Dia is on the Red Home," Kirney said. "Should be here anytime soon." "Good," Alison said, and Kirney was a bit curious at the sigh that came with Alison's words. "Myn is with Wes and Nick on the bago," Kirney said, and she felt an ache in her heart. She missed her husband, and wished he could be here with her. "I'm sure he's fine," Alison said. "Wes is with him." "Yeah, those two do take care of each other, don't they?" "That's what friends are for." The two women stared at each other, sizing each other up after all the things they had been through. Finally, Alison turned away, looking back at the pipe. "I'm sure if I hit it with the edge, I would probably spilt it in two, but I don't think Thayer would appreciate that." "I'm sure." Kirney looked at the dummy. "If you were fighting the pipe, what was the dummy for?" Alison looked over her shoulder and threw Kirney a smirk. Then she dived forward, rolling over on her shoulder. Her left arm covered her face while her right hand reached into her boot. Coming out of the roll, Alison rolled up into a kneeling position and tossed the knife that she had pulled from her boot sheath. The knife flew across the field and landed where the dummy's pelvis would have been. "Ouch," Kirney stated. Alison shrugged. "That was a bad throw. I was aiming for his heart." She went to the dummy and pulled the knife out. She turned to Kirney and let a grin come to her face. Holding out her dagger, she motioned to Kirney. "Want to try?" Kirney smiled, then proceeded to roll onto the ground, pulling out her blaster as she went. Coming up in the same position, she snapped off three shots, all landing in the dummy's chest. Standing, Kirney wiped the dirt from her knees. "Blasters can do a bit more damage than knives anyday." With that, she walked away. Alison sighed, grabbed her sword and went off to find the showers again. She had had quite a workout. As Alison came out of her shower, she was amazed at how her hair had stayed in the braids. "I'll have to commend Mirax on..." Alison felt her foot sink and looked up as Jello splashed down over her. For a moment, Alison just stared at the ceiling in shock. "MIKE!" she screamed, then started to laugh aloud. Still laughing, she turned around and went back to the showers for the THIRD time of the day.
